What will you be doing?

The Pre-Commissioning Equipment Technical Authority is expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
The Technical Authority plays a key technical leadership role within the global Subsea Pre-Commissioning Equipment Team, ensuring that equipment used in subsea pipeline operations meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. The role is responsible for the technical coordination of new equipment development, upgrades, and rationalization, as well as supporting the implementation of the global equipment strategy in coordination with the Subsea Pre-Commissioning Equipment Lead.
This position provides engineering oversight during project planning and execution, including the selection and specification of equipment, review of procedures, and development of standards and best practices. The Technical Authority interfaces closely with project teams, engineering, SCM, operations, and offshore personnel to ensure equipment readiness and operational excellence.
The role also encompasses offshore support, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement through lessons learned and technical feedback loops. Additionally, the Technical Authority supports the development of junior engineers and contributes to training, standardization, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
The Technical Authority will also support the Umbilical Equipment Lead, as needed.

Equipment Technical Coordination
New equipment Technical development and equipment upgrade/modification (CAPEX execution)
Technology watch and IP awareness
Support technical Capex business cases
Support Subsea precomm equipment lead for the equipment strategy and rationalization
Develop TSOW for new equipment or updgrade, support SCM for vendor selection and technical interfaces

Engineering Oversight
Define and select equipment for project requirements with project precommissioning engineer
Develop and support subsea precommissioning equipment engineers on project, as needed
Consolidate LL reporting and implementation in future projects
Review subsea precomm procedures (SDC) and ensure compliance with internal standards
Participate in the project constructability review and Risk Assessment 
Interface between project, OR and vessel
Support ROV interface for equipment integration (hydraulic supply etc) and advise modifications
Develop standards and engineering templates
Develop standards for schedule inputs
Assist the Project team during meetings with COMPANY as required.
Develop equipment performance datasheet, equipment catalog and OMM

Offshore Operations Oversight
Offshore technical support and troubleshooting
Attend Bi-Monthly operational committee and provide equipment inputs

What experience would we like you to have?

Competencies
15+ years pre-commissioning experience
Engineering Degree or previous relevant experience
Follow internal process (SCM, Engineering)
Good interpersonal skills and organization skills
Work autonomously 
Good communication and collaboration
Ability to prioritize own workload, manage time accordingly and inform team members when constraints will affect a project in terms of programme or budget.
Availability to travel to different offices worldwide
Worksite travel may be required to assist in equipment integration
