What will you be doing?

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

 

The Material Controller/Tracker activity among various departments internally and externally is to support Logistics activities that improve quality and service during the offshore campaign while reducing cost. The Material Controller/Tracker has an interface with Operations, Freight Agents and Offshore Vessels to ensure the co-ordination, the tracking and follow up of equipment, materials and consumables to be used during project execution.
Material Controller/Tracker supports Offshore Operations based in Filyos Port and supports Project Logistics Manager, Operations and UK based Material Tracker with functional responsibility detailed below.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining a Rigging Database whilst being the point of contact for project engineering to request rigging to be assigned for certain scopes and follow the segregation, certification and booking out to project.
  • Update certification database for rigging with original and new certification and recording all details.
  • Receive and book goods in to correct locations in an accurate and timely manner, liaising with project teams for any discrepancies or quality issues.
  • Update yard inventory to allow operations visibility of equipment in Filyos Yard. (Detailed yard plan would be ideal).
  • Work with Logistics and Material teams to determine if equipment required for offshore or to be allocated to a storage location and update inventory physically and online database.
  • Manage Inventory locations when equipment is mobilized or demobilized from offshore.
  • Supporting preparation of exports for shipping, providing accurate documentation in accordance with relevant carrier requirements.
  • Ensure all parties are informed in due time of the flow of material in and out, especially the local logistic entities, to allow smooth and efficient flow.
  • Ensuring all material arriving onsite is tagged for easy identification
  • Update material tracker with Overage/Shortage and Damage (OSD) number where OSD has been identified and check damage.
     

What experience would we like you to have?

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of Material & Inventory Tracking.
  • Excellent understanding of warehousing and Inventory control. 
  • Strong time management and communications skills.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written).

 

Desirable

  • Experience with Material Tracking.
  • Knowledge of SAP Software.
