What will you be doing?

 

Subsea7 is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist providing support for goods and/or services procurement requested by the in-country project(s). Working jointly with SCM Specialists and SCM Engineers and under supervision of the Country SCM.

The SCM Specialist ensures a good and efficient interface with other departments (Accounting/Finance for invoicing, Logistics and Administrative Affairs for good receipts/service acceptance).

 

The position is based in Istanbul with occasional travels to project worksites. Fixed Term Contract for a duration of 12 month.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Work according to Subsea 7 processes, use SCM tools, and behave in accordance with Subsea 7 Code of Conduct.
  • Contribute to creating a positive Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
  • Check the comprehensiveness of the Purchase Requisition (PR) content, request any missing information to PR Requestor and if necessary complete the PR data.
  • Ensure that confidential and commercial information is not disclosed to third party without authorization of the primary party.
  • When requested by Country SCM, submit the PR to the Budget Holder.
  • Chase and claim the validation of the PR by the Budget Holder.
  • Create the Purchase Order (PO) following Country SCM sourcing decisions and using the proper terms & conditions validated.
  • Prepare the draft (if required) and final Purchase Order according to the SCM processes, chase its validation and signature by the relevant authority.
  • Create and maintain the PR files according to the valid SCM processes (initial PR, supplier quotations, PR, PO, Supplier Receipt, etc.).
  • Maintain the PR and PO up to date and manage any necessary revision according to the SCM processes.
  • When requested by Country SCM prepare the Supplier Recommendation Form.
  • Participate to meetings (e.g. Kick-Off) with Suppliers upon Country SCM request.
  • Ensure regular feedback to Country SCM about running activity, schedule and completion of works.
  • Ensure feedback to Country SCM about supplier performance (speed, reactivity, communication, relation, accuracy, etc.).
  • Provide other type of support to Country SCM upon request outside of the above non exhaustive list.
  • Highlight all discrepancies in SCM processes, identify related risks and propose actions to minimize such risk.

 

What experience would we like you to have?

 

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years’ experience with Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Good communication & administrative skills, building effective relationship with suppliers.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written). Moreover, be comfortable with an interlocutor speaking English over the phone, from anywhere in the world.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills and accurate reporting, both written and verbal (especially in English).
  • Highly motivated with consistent effort.
  • Adjusting to changing priorities, strategic thinking & time management
  • Medium/Advance knowledge on Microsoft Pack office.
  • Knowledge on ERP systems (SAP).
