Subsea7 is looking for a Reporting Controller that is looking for a determined and focused individual that takes responsibility for delivering quality analysis. The role will be open globally across GPC East and the UK.
Overview of the role
- Reporting to GPC FP&A Manager, the Reporting Controller assists in GPC East region financial and management reporting delivery, in accordance with company policies and external reporting standards.
- The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and ideally experience of large-scale construction projects involving multiple entities and currencies.
- The individual will be comfortable working under their own initiative but also be able to meet tight deadlines and deliverables as and when requested by Management.
- All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.
What will you be doing?
- Assist in the region with regular reporting and management information requirements: annual budget, monthly and extended forecasts.
- Ensure deployment of standardized regional reporting structures and systems for accurate and consistent data across the region
- Manage project forecasts and sensitivity upload on BFC for assigned packages
- Validates projects contingencies and allowances according to PMSRs
- Performs, OOC and Overhead reviews and variance analysis. Highlight Irregularities and investigating material variances.
- Maintain data integrity and further improve financial reporting.
- Manage PowerPoint slide packs for the LTF and Budget including updating slide data and formats according to Corporate and Regional Management requirements.
- Work with business operations, and other key stakeholders to generate requested reporting output (ad-hoc analysis).
Required Skills
- Desirable; Large, multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation experience.
- Strong understanding of IFRS reporting requirements and interpretation of new standards.
- Possess an inquisitive and analytical mindset and be able to understand the commercial and operational side of the business and relate it to the financial performance and metrics that are being reported.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to manage own workload in a pressurized environment and work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Should demonstrate values, skills and behaviors that are consistent with Subsea 7’s core values.
- Qualified accountant.
- Strong Excel and systems skills.
