Title: Payroll Team Lead

The Global Payroll Team Lead is responsible for leading and overseeing payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll for a diverse, international workforce. This role requires deep expertise in global payroll processes, solid knowledge of international labour laws, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, time zones, and organizational levels. Strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and can build scalable processes that support global growth, providing strategic data to high management level. Reporting into the HR Resource Centre Manager, this role will have responsibility for approx. 9 Payroll Administrators across our shared services team.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy,
- timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
- Develop and maintain standardized global payroll processes while adapting to
- regional requirements.
- Partner with local payroll vendors, HR teams, and finance stakeholders to ensure
- seamless payroll execution.
- Monitor payroll KPIs and implement continuous improvements to enhance efficiency
- and accuracy.
- Develop global payroll policies, documentation, and governance frameworks.
- Provide insights and reporting to leadership on payroll trends, risks, and operational
- performance.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and proactively adjust processes to maintain
- compliance.
- Lead internal audits and support external audits related to payroll.
People and Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization.
- Prepare process mapping, process monitoring and process improvement.
- Streamlining process improvement initiatives through opportunity identification and
- initiative prioritization.
- Lead and support high-impact projects, guiding the development of payroll
- processes, compliance frameworks, and operational strategies.
- Lead and mentor a distributed payroll team across multiple time zones.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on global payroll best practices and
- compliance requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a
- related field
- 10 years’ management experience, at least 3 in multicultural environment
- Deep knowledge of standard payroll mainframe systems, legislation, tax rules, and
- compliance
- Knowledge and experience in payroll systems and HCM (must have ADP,
- Success Factors).
- Stakeholder management, problem-solving, and a continuous improvement
- mindset
- Political communication with a good collaborative mindset
- Keen attention to intricate details and problem resolution capabilities.
- Fluent in English language, both written and oral
