Overview
The Global Projects Centre (GPC) is Subsea 7's center of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide. We have an opportunity for an Project Installation Engineer - Level 1 to join our Lisbon team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Within the Installation and Project Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, risers systems, flexible flowlines and/or umbilicals.
As part of our activities in wind farm development projects, you also can be involved in the installation of wind turbines. You prepare the mission and then support the offshore crew during the operation. You will insure the interface with the Client, the suppliers, the offshore crew and the design team.
What you will be doing?
- Produce all documents and preliminary studies related to tenders and projects developed by the Group.
- Take responsibility for the installation of one or more product(s) on a major Project.
- Perform the engineering activities related to the preparation and Offshore installation of the products.
- Plan, prepare and confirm the specific procedures (validation test on site, transportation and installation) and associated calculation notes (design lifting slings) defining priorities.
- Bring technical expertise during the procurement process, and confirm the project's progress at interim meetings with your Lead.
- Participate to vessel/CB mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel to validate technical solutions by respecting the rules of the Group HSEQ.
- Warrant that your activities are conducted in compliance with the Project standards in terms of Quality, Cost & Time.
- Support the development of computational tools and organize technology watch.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Advanced Engineering Degree — M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Marine, Offshore, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Relevant Technical Background — Preferably with knowledge or experience in Structures, Flexible Flowlines & Umbilicals, or Offshore Renewable Energy Installation.
- Cross-Industry Experience — Experience from adjacent sectors such as Aerospace, Automotive, Civil Construction, or Materials is also welcome.
- International & Yard Exposure — Experience working abroad or in fabrication/assembly yards is considered a strong plus.
- Autonomy & Coordination — Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Communication Skills — Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Professional Experience — 2 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
