We are looking for an Analysis Engineer (Pipeline Installation) to join our Pipeline Group (PG) team at our Sutton, London office on a full-time, permanent basis. We welcome applicants with a range of experience, from early-career engineers through to Senior Engineer, and encourage anyone interested to apply.

 

Pipeline Group (PG) are responsible for delivering fit for purpose rigid pipeline installation methods and analysis to projects and tenders with specific focus on safe and cost-effective installation operations.

 

Join our team and play a key role in delivering exciting, complex, and truly global subsea projects, solving challenging engineering problems that shape major offshore developments worldwide. As an Analysis Engineer, you’ll be valued for your technical skill, and at senior level you’ll also bring skills in guiding project delivery that enable better business performance and reliable project delivery.. You will contribute to a team of engineers, focusing on rigid pipeline installation analysis across live projects, FEED work, or tenders.

What will you be doing?

  • Perform installation analysis of rigid pipeline methodologies in S-lay, J-lay and/or Reel-lay and be accountable for your own, and in some cases depending on level, a teams, scope of work.
  • Ensure installation analysis solutions are fit for purpose and comply with relevant company engineering standards. Maintaining a clear focus on the commerciality of the engineering solutions all while meeting client specifications.
  • Provide occasional on site engineering support during operational periods either at fabrication yards onshore or offshore on vessels.  
  • Demonstrate commitment to the safety culture and associated initiatives to the installation engineering team throughout the onshore and offshore delivery phases.
  • Contribute to the know-how consolidation and support the innovation of Pipeline Group, always looking for ways to improve how we operate and reduce risks and costs.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering or similar subject
  • Demonstrable relevant analysis engineer experience (preferably in the Subsea or Oil & Gas market but other relevant experience will be considered).
  • Proficient with Orcaflex and familiarity with systems such as Python, VBA and Abaqus
  • Good communication skills with ability to speak with all levels within the business.  Comfortable working individually and as part of a team.
  • Good report writing skills with the ability to self-check and produce accurate work, as well as the ability prioritise and organise work accordingly to meet deadlines set by management.
