Overview

This role sits within the Drawing Office discipline at Subsea7.

The Animator is responsible for producing high‑quality 2D and 3D animations and visual content in compliance with company Drawing Office and animation procedures.

What will you be doing?

  • Act as the focal point for all project communications and activities, ensuring delivery of high-quality work in line with project plans, QA, and HSE requirements.
  • Provide feasibility input on deliverables, timescales, and resource availability, including contributions to project CTR estimates when required.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external interfaces related to animation and visualisation projects.
  • Produce high-quality 2D and 3D animations, visuals, and VR content in line with standardised engineering policies, processes, and systems.
  • Support the development of standardised deliverables, improved efficiencies, and departmental procedures and work methods.
  • Liaise closely with Project Engineers and contribute to lessons learned and Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs).

 

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Highly skilled in creating 3D animations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through electronic channels.
  • Demonstrated creativity, artistic vision, and a solid technical understanding of visual and animation deliverables.
  • Ability to manage change control within own project remit, proactively informing stakeholders of any constraints impacting programme or budget.
  • Proven ability to deliver work effectively within agreed time and budget constraints.
  • Familiar with reading engineering technical documents and drawings
  • Required software skills: Autodesk 3ds Max, Chaos V-Ray, Chaos Phoenix, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After effect.
  • Optional software skills: Unreal Engine, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Navisworks
