The The Brazil GPC West Region is one of Subsea 7's center of excellence for the execution of its largest projects worldwide.

 

The Brazil GPC West Region is now seeking dedicated and driven individuals to join our growing Drawing Office team at our office in Sutton, London. The Subsea7 Apprenticeship Program offers prospective applicants the chance to acquire a mix of academic understanding and real-world, global, project-based experience. What will you be doing?

  • Under direct supervision and with guidance, be responsible for producing drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.
  • With training and continued support from colleagues master the usage of a variety of CAD (Computer Aided Design), PDM (Product Data Management) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software packages.
  • Become familiar with relevant codes, standards and quality system requirements regarding production, registering, revision and filing of drawings
  • Liaise directly with project engineers on drawings and sketches when required.
  • Maintain communication with the Drawing Office Manager, in combination with lead and senior designers where appropriate, to ensure all project tasks are on schedule.
  • Pursue and complete an industry recognised academic qualification within the framework of the Subsea7 Apprenticeship Scheme (in this case an HNC in Engineering).
  • Interface with Drawing Office Manager, Mentor, TDC dept and training providers to ensure all education modules and training tasks are completed according to schedule.
  • Work efficiently to a high standard under the guidance of an allocated Mentor with regular meetings.
  • Maintain prompt timekeeping.
  • Always present oneself in a professional manner.

What experience would we like you to have?

Subsea7 are looking to identify talented individuals, to whom they can provide unique opportunities and ultimately help to develop careers within the Energy Industry.

 

 At a minimum, the candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • A level 3 Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
  • CAD software experience.
  • Possess a strong interest in engineering and technology.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Have a strong desire to succeed in a sometimes-challenging environment, with the support of relevant managers and colleagues.
  • Have a willingness to learn and develop new skill sets.
  • Possess a Go-Getter mindset and be self-motivated.
  • Be able to behave appropriately within a professional corporate setting, respecting adopted office practices and company best-practices.

 

 The following are desirable attributes, but NOT essential:

  • Have any demonstratable previous working experience:
    • Part-Time roles supporting study.
    • Full-Time employment during a gap-year from study.
