Senior CAD Designer

What will you be doing?

• Prepare design/fabrication drawings of steel structures using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.
• Prepare offshore installation method sketches and rigging drawings.
• Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for designs and drawings and to develop clash free designs.
• Assist in the identification of technical problems and contribute with possible solutions.
• Conduct self-check and team check on drawing/sketches.
• Prepare drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.
• Assist Fabrication as required in the resolution of construction difficulties relating to design problems, clashes, etc.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Technical education related to mechanical, structural, or civil engineering.
• Relevant previous design and drafting experience in producing subsea steel structures within the Marine and/or Oil and Gas Industry, including work at senior level 
• Good experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor and iLogic functionality 
• Proficient in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Ability to function within a multiple disciplines design team across multiple projects.
• Ability to prioritise, organise and deliver work to deadlines set by management.
• Good working knowledge of other non-technical software e.g. MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Sound communication skills in English, both verbally and written. #LI-AB1
