What will you be doing?

The 2nd Engineer (Deck) has the primary responsibility for the operation, maintenance and repair of all equipment related to deck operations and assist in engine room activities as required including the implementation and monitoring of technical procedures, reporting, work management and execution whilst on shift.

 

All Personnel are expected to contribute to a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. The 2nd Engineer Deck is expected to contribute to a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.

 

We are seeking candidates who want to understand the environment in which we operate in and support effective delivery of our offshore projects, building effective and trusting two-way relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will have a desire to develop yourself, building individual effectiveness and capability to change and deliver.

 

Applicants will need relevant academic qualifications or evidence of having completed an appropriate apprenticeship or similar compliant with the STCW Code III/1. You should also be familiar with deck equipment not limited to Cranes, Winches, Carousels, Tensioners, Reel Drives and Chain Drives as well as Hydraulic motors and electrical systems. You will also hold at all times a valid Seafarer Medical Fitness or equivalent as well as an Offshore Survival certificate suitable for geographical area of work.
