What will you be doing?
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The HR Manager supports our subsidiaries in Africa & Mediterranean region through providing a flexible and professional HR service to Line Management and employees.
The HR Manager is accountable for planning, coordinating and delivery of all HR activities within its region.
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience of working within an HR team in a large matrix organization and be able to work with a degree of autonomy prioritizing and managing individual workload requiring minimal supervision.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices. All personnel are also expected to contribute to creating a culture of ethics and integrity within Subsea 7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to our Code of Conduct.
POSITION OVERVIEW
• Develops a constructive and professional relationship with all stakeholders and HR colleagues within Subsea 7 globally.
• Responsible for the efficient, timely, accurate and cost-effective management and delivery of the HR activities, considering local employment legislation of each location.
• Plans, organises, manages, and continuously improves the processes for the team in accordance with Subsea 7 global ways of working.
• Provides input to budget and is accountable for controlling HR costs and meeting HR budget as well as forecast HR costs when needed.
• Ensures the implementation of and adherence to Subsea 7's Management System, professional tools, policies, systems and processes.
• Develops the local HR Function across our different locations, through clearly understood roles, responsibilities and performance objectives, regular feedback and continuing professional training.
• Monitors HR trends and provide management information on HR Key Performance Indicators or other ad-hoc reports when requested.
• Manages the company’s recruitment policy and organizes recruitment according to the needs of the departments and projects.
• Manages the company’s compensation and benefits policy.
• Manages HR suppliers, including the supervision of outsourcing personnel agencies.
• Oversees all aspects of payroll, travel and work permit/visas.
• Ensures that all the HR processes, procedures and contracts are updated in accordance with the legislation in place.
• Ensures HR support to expats and visitors.
• Manages the expatriation process in line with Subsea 7 policies.
• Manages overall induction process for newcomers and liaise with different teams to ensure accessibility to required tools and systems efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Ensures Human Resources capitalises from lessons learned and is performed in accordance with best practice, striving to mitigate risk, promoting safety and integrity consistently.
• Participates in Regional and Group HR initiatives as and when required.
• Manages direct reports, develops self and encourages development of others.
• Any other duties as required.
What experience would we like you to have?
Requirements:
• Thinking at a strategic level, with ability to critically question information and evaluate it to make judgements and decisions.
• Ability to influence and work with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to build and drive actions plans and manage change management processes.
• Proven 10 years working experience in the HR field.
• Demonstrable ability to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
• Experience of managing a team and driving team performance.
• People oriented and results driven.
• Experience with HR metrics, ability to set, analyse and take action against people KPI’s.
• Knowledge of HR systems and databases (preferably SAP, SuccessFactors etc.).
• Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices in France.
• Adaptability, open-minded to diversity and multicultural environment.
• Preferably Degree Qualified or equivalent.
• Fluency in English and preferably speaking either French or Portuguese.
