What will you be doing?
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION
The Project Manager is responsible for the management of the assigned project ensuring delivery of all elements of the work within the agreed budget and timescale.
Dependent on size and/or complexity of the Project, The Project Manager may be assigned to a Package of work reporting directly to a Project Director
The Project Manager is accountable for the quality, safety and commercial performance of the project within the defined area of responsibility.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute and lead a positive HSEQ culture, monitoring and driving HSSEQ performance throughout the project life-cycle.
- Ensure successful execution of the project that delivers Subsea 7's strategic objectives and that meets or exceeds the clients and Subsea 7's expectations and contractual requirements.
- In liaison with the support functions Business Unit Partners, select, build, lead and develop a high performance project team by establishing clear roles and responsibilities, including interfaces as required.
- Ensure the compliance with the requirements of the Business Management System and in particular Win-Execute processes throughout the entire life cycle of project.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the Business Management System and development of Project Management best practices by providing comments and recommendations to improve the delivery of Subsea7's Regional strategic objectives in cooperation with the Functional Heads.
- Perform all necessary reviews to ascertain that the project is under control and delivering against the strategic objectives and to allow early actions to be taken to improve and optimise delivery.
- Ensure that performance data and lessons learned are captured and communicated throughout all phases of the project to enable continuous improvement of the business.
- Contribute to decision making and working at Business Unit level to support the delivery of the business areas planned performance.
- Support directly or indirectly the development of the Project Management resources at Business Unit level to improve the level of skills and meet with future Project Management needs.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- 20 years’ experience in the offshore sector.
- Experienced in the delivery of large, EPCI projects in SURF, Conventional and IMR markets.
- Financial and commercial skills demanded to manage business development activities.
- Management of HSEQ activities.
- Clear and concise communication.
Working Conditions
- Based in France.
- Generally office environment. Requirement for frequent travel and to visit offshore and onshore ships, barges and installations.
