Overview

We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team in Bois-Colombes, Paris. This permanent position plays a key role in supporting the GPC East finance team, partnering closely with stakeholders across the Africa South region. As a Financial Analyst, you will provide critical financial insights to the Business Unit Finance Manager, enabling effective financial planning, management, and strategic decision‑making. You’ll also collaborate with local finance teams across the business unit, helping to improve tools, standardize working methods, and continuously elevate the quality of financial deliverables. In this role, you will be instrumental in promoting a robust culture of compliance and operational excellence.

What will you be doing?

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

Business Unit Reporting

 

Produce monthly P&L and balance sheet analyses for Africa South business unit, including variance analysis, in line with Corporate and Region closing timetable. With a focus on the tasks below:

 

  • Organise annual reporting schedule in collaboration with GPC East reporting team
  • Report and analyse project monthly variances
  • Consolidate Sonamet joint-venture data in the reporting system (actuals, project and yard/overhead costs forecast, etc.)
  • Analyse business unit cash forecast
  • Review Overhead and OOC costs reported by the Finance Resources Centre
  • Investigate any unexpected variance or reporting issue on project or JVs
  • Consolidate monthly lease submissions across the sub-region
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as required
  • Monitor and control sub-region legal entities forecasts (LEF) once per quarter
  • Prepare a meaningful balance sheet dashboard once per quarter and propose corrections where needed

 

Project Compliance

 

The role is responsible for providing assurance on project accounting and adherence to key controls, in particular:

 

  • Control, challenge and sign project closing documents on a monthly basis: POC Sheets, accrual sheets, PMSR
  • Produce project COSA every quarter
  • Ensure ALM for projects is updated regularly and is enforced

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Educated to master’s degree level in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel. Experience using SAP S4 Hana or similar finance ERP system would be beneficial.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across teams, both written and verbal.
  • Able to stay focused and effective during busy periods.
  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail and a self-checking approach
  • Fluency in English; French is a benefit
  • Proactive and positive toward changes and new demands.
