Overview

Within the Systems Engineering Group, attached to the Flow Assurance Discipline, you will be responsible for performing thermo-hydraulic analysis and thermal design of subsea equipment to meet the production requirements of our most challenging projects. Understanding of production and export systems, operating philosophies, and thermal management is preferred. You will in most instances work embedded in a multidisciplinary project environment where communication with other discipline engineers is key to project success.

Role & responsabilities

Your main missions will be:

  • Perform detailed thermo-hydraulic analysis to validate the subsea system design and subsea equipment performance considering project requirements and constraints from other disciplines
  • Perform detail thermal analysis to assess the level of thermal insulation needed on the subsea equipment
  • Develop and analyze engineering solutions to specific job requirements
  • Write design reports & operating philosophies
  • Understand client and internal project needs, identify design parameters and issues, develop and implement solutions
  • Support a technical interface with internal and external stakeholders in flow assurance related topics
  • Develop tools and processes to improve ways of working, facilitate technology implementation and promote knowledge cross-fertilization with other functions/disciplines
  • Be involved in R&D programs to defined and support the development of new products and technologies
  • Supervising and supporting (training, sharing knowledge…) other Flow Assurance Engineer within the Flow Assurance Discipline

Skills & experience

Engineer or scientist with at least 8 years experience in fluid mechanical / energy we’re looking for you to have:

  • Solid understanding of multiphase flow & heat transfer analysis within Oil & Gas environment
  • Solid knowledge in using CFD/FEA simulators (Fluent, Star CCM+)
  • Knowledge of insulation materials and coating for subsea equipment would be greatly appreciate
  • Understanding of key flow assurance related issues; hydrate, wax, scale, corrosion, asphaltene, liquid management, operability
  • Proficiency in all flow assurance modeling tools including Olga, Pipesim , PVTSim and Multiflash
  • Experience within Oil & Gas Industry with emphasis in the area of flow assurance.
  • Should be able to perform most of the flow assurance activities without much supervision.

Au sein du groupe Ingénierie des systèmes, rattaché à la discipline Flow Assurance, vous serez responsable de l’analyse thermo-hydraulique et de la conception thermique des équipements sous-marins afin de répondre aux exigences de production de nos projets les plus ambitieux.

Une connaissance des systèmes de production et d’exportation, des principes d’exploitation et de la gestion thermique est souhaitable.

Vous travaillerez généralement au sein d’une équipe projet multidisciplinaire où la communication avec les ingénieurs des autres disciplines est essentielle à la réussite du projet.

Principales responsabilités

  • Réaliser des analyses thermo-hydrauliques détaillées pour valider la conception du système sous-marin et les performances des équipements sous-marins, en tenant compte des exigences du projet et des contraintes des autres disciplines.
  • Effectuer des analyses thermiques détaillées pour évaluer le niveau d’isolation thermique nécessaire sur les équipements sous-marins.
  • Développer et analyser des solutions d’ingénierie répondant aux exigences spécifiques du projet.
  • Rédiger des rapports de conception et des schémas d’exploitation.
  • Comprendre les besoins du client et du projet en interne, identifier les paramètres et les problèmes de conception, développer et mettre en œuvre des solutions.
  • Assurer une interface technique avec les parties prenantes internes et externes sur les sujets liés à l’assurance d’écoulement.
  • Développer des outils et des processus pour améliorer les méthodes de travail, faciliter la mise en œuvre des technologies et promouvoir le partage des connaissances avec d’autres fonctions/disciplines.
  • Participer aux programmes de R&D pour définir et soutenir le développement de nouveaux produits et technologies.
  • Superviser et soutenir (formation, partage de connaissances…) les autres ingénieurs en assurance d’écoulement au sein de la discipline.

Compétences requises

  • Ingénieur avec au moins 8 ans d’expérience en mécanique des fluides/énergie.
  • Une solide compréhension de l’analyse des écoulements multiphasiques et des transferts de chaleur dans le secteur pétrolier et gazier.
  • Connaissance des simulateurs CFD/FEA (Fluent, Star CCM+).
  • La connaissance des matériaux d'isolation et des revêtements pour équipements sous-marins serait un atout.
  • Compréhension des principaux enjeux liés à l'assurance d'écoulement : hydrates, paraffine, tartre, corrosion, asphaltènes, gestion des liquides, opérabilité.
  • Maîtrise de tous les outils de modélisation de l'assurance d'écoulement, notamment Olga, Pipesim, PVTSim et Multiflash.
  • Expérience dans l'industrie pétrolière et gazière, avec une spécialisation en assurance d'écoulement.
  • Capacité à réaliser la plupart des activités liées à l'assurance d'écoulement de manière autonome.
