Title: Finance Specialist - Internal Controls

What will you be doing?
About the Role
We are looking for an Internal Controls Specialist to focus on EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation) projects, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and process efficiency for the Brazil GPC West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Map, review, and monitor internal processes and controls, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement action plans to mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Perform control effectiveness testing and follow up on remediation plans.
- Support internal and external audits by providing evidence and clarifications on existing controls.
- Prepare management reports on control and risk status, including recommendations for leadership.
- Promote training and awareness on policies, procedures, and best practices in internal controls.
- Act as a business partner to operational and administrative areas, building control solutions that add value.
- Monitor compliance with corporate policies and participate in policy and procedure reviews.
What experience would we like you to have?
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in internal controls, auditing, or related areas.
- Preferred: Previous experience in external audit (Big Four).
- Advanced English
Knowledge and Skills
- Internal Controls: Strong knowledge of COSO framework and SOX requirements.
- Auditing: Experience with internal/external audits, control testing, and evidence gathering.
- Accounting Standards: Familiarity with IFRS.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Tools: Advanced Excel, Power BI, ERP (SAP), and compliance monitoring systems.
- Soft Skills: Analytical mindset, clear communication, proactivity, and ability to act as a business partner.
