Summary Description
Responsible for managing and developing geotechnical engineering activities across projects, proposals, and studies, leading the technical team and ensuring the application of engineering principles to deliver solutions for deepwater environments. This includes geotechnical investigations, risk assessments, foundation design, and pipeline-soil interaction (PSI) analyses, while ensuring technical quality and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities and Challenges
- Lead the execution of technical geotechnical engineering scopes in compliance with the Company's Management System requirements, including participation in problem-solving activities and verification of resource adequacy. Identify, mitigate, and manage technical risks, and participate in project reviews as required.
- Review and validate technical project documentation, as applicable, including design basis documents, foundation design reports, and field investigation scopes of work. Estimate man-hours for proposals and projects.
- Manage and supervise outsourced technical services, ensuring quality, technical compliance, and adherence to project deliverables.
- Assess the quality of available field investigations and specify and oversee complementary investigations when required.
- Promote continuous improvement and standardization of engineering practices by proposing innovative technical solutions that enhance efficiency and quality within the discipline. Maintain knowledge of previous projects, discipline standards, and technical competencies.
- Lead technical interfaces with clients, partners, and other regions, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and appropriate resource allocation.
- Perform Pipeline-Soil Interaction (PSI) analyses and provide support to engineering disciplines related to pipeline and umbilical installation (including initiation anchors), stability analyses, buckling assessment, and pipeline walking evaluation.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications
- Advanced to Fluent English.
- Degree in Civil Engineering with experience in Offshore Geotechnical Engineering.
- Knowledge of the design of various foundation types, including gravity-based foundations (with skirts) and suction piles, in accordance with API, DNV, and ISO standards.
- Familiarity with geotechnical engineering software such as Plaxis 2D/3D, OPILE, and LimitState GEO.
