Summary Description
The Project Finance Manager ensures accurate, timely, and value‑added analyses and reports for one or multiple projects. The discipline contributes to effective project execution and includes responsibility for cost performance reporting. The role ensures full cost control across the project, including budgeting, updates and monitoring, change management, estimating, cost reporting, contingency and risk management, as well as forecasting. Responsible for managing the project financial team.
Main Responsibilities and Challenges
- Continuously improve Cost Control processes, procedures, systems, and best practices.
- Ensure the use of standard and appropriate models for financial and performance reporting.
- Ensure knowledge of and adherence to Group procedures.
- Transfer the Tender budget into the cost management system, establishing the EAC baseline.
- Ensure consistent use of EcoSys for cost control and reporting.
- Prepare the Cost Control Structure for EcoSys and Tracker.
- Analyze and understand the contract and project scope.
- Support Change Management and identify deviations and corrective actions.
- Participate in preparing Variation Orders (VOs).
- Establish and communicate control routines aligned with financial/accounting/compliance rules.
- Monitor project progress with Planning and Budget Owners.
- Calculate and track the project forecast (ETC).
- Reconcile planned vs. actual expenses; prepare accruals.
- Ensure proper cost allocation.
- Supervise preparation of project reports.
- Prepare PMSR aligned with project leadership.
- Manage weekly/monthly cash flow reporting.
- Deliver required monthly/quarterly project financial reports.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Review project Close-Out documentation.
- Participate in functional meetings and workshops.
- Contribute to a positive HSEQ culture.
What experience would we like you to have?
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Production Engineering. Desired: MBA/Specialization in Costs, Finance, or Project Management. Advanced English, Advanced Excel, SAP user.
Experience
8–10 years of cost/finance experience, 7 years in project cost control. Strong background in project management, cost, finance, and accounting. Experience with management reporting and financial consolidation systems.
