Introduction

Are you an experienced Survey professional ready to lead high-performing teams and deliver excellence across complex offshore energy projects?

 

Subsea7 is seeking a Survey Operations Manager to lead our Survey function within the GPC West Brazil region.  Reporting to the Global Survey & Inspection Manager, you will play a key role in supporting subsea construction, SURF and PLSV operations, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality survey service delivery while driving operational performance, innovation and continuous improvement. 

 

What will you be doing?

 

  • Lead and develop a team of onshore and offshore survey professionals, fostering a culture of safety, performance and collaboration.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of survey services across regional projects and operations.
  • Manage resource planning, forecasting and workforce utilisation to meet project and business demands.
  • Support tendering activities through review of survey methodologies, costs, equipment and third-party requirements.
  • Oversee budgets, cost control and operational performance to maximise efficiency and value.
  • Build strong relationships with project teams, clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement through technology adoption, innovation and implementation of industry best practices.
  • Champion HSEQ standards, operational excellence and lessons learned across the region

What experience would we like you to have?

 

  • Degree qualification in Surveying, Geomatics, Hydrography, Engineering, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Significant offshore survey experience within the offshore energy industry.
  • Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in operational environments.
  • Strong understanding of survey technologies, project delivery, operational risk management and industry best practice.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasts, tendering activities and resource optimisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build trusted customer relationships.
  • Experience driving performance improvement, innovation and strategic business initiatives.
  • Competency in Microsoft 365 applications; experience with Power BI, ERP or resource planning systems would be advantageous.
