Subsea7 has won several major contracts lately but never stops chasing new opportunities to strengthen our position as a global leader in oil and gas subsea solutions, while intensifying our efforts to make energy transition possible.

 

We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our CAD department in Stavanger. The candidate will be reporting to the Discipline Team Lead for Project Drawing Office Norway and will be located in our office at Forus

 

The tasks you will solve:

  • Production of 2D/3D storyboards and subsea installation sequences using Inventor & AutoCAD software
  • Production of 2D detailed fabrication drawings of steel structures using Inventor software
  • Production of detailed lift rigging arrangements, subsea field layouts and alignment sheets
  • Planning vessel deck layouts together with project engineers
  • Design and modelling of structures using 3D Inventor software
  • Cooperate with the other personnel in the CAD Group and other disciplines
  • Conduct self-check on drawing/sketches
  • Drafting checks on other work in the CAD group
  • Give professional/technical support to other Designers in the CAD Group

What we want from you:

  • Technical Education including courses within CAD Design 
  • Preferably 5-10 years of experience within design
  • Knowledge in the use of AutoCAD 2D CAD software
  • Knowledge in the use of Inventor 3D CAD software
  • Flexible and proactive approach to changes and challenges
  • Be able to work in a multi discipline environment
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbally and written
  • Good attention to details
  • A team player, with the ability to work independently
