Design Engineer for Subsea Structures

Experienced Engineer Wanted for Our Subsea Structures Team in Stavanger!

Subsea7 needs to increase the engineering capacity with focus on Subsea Structures and is looking for experienced engineers to be part of the Subsea Structures Team based in the Stavanger office.
 

As a team member, you will:

  • Design and Model: Create and model subsea steel and GRP structures and piping layouts using 3D Autodesk Inventor and 2D Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical for various project phases. Contribute to Design Reviews.
  • Prepare Drawings: Convert 3D models into detail drawings and perform necessary interface checks.
  • Develop Schematics: Create schematics and P&IDs for structures.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Apply Standards: Follow design codes such as NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, ISO, and ASME.
  • Analyse Requirements: Interpret design and functional requirements from contractual documents.
  • Support Fabrication: Assist fabrication engineers in defining scopes of work. Contribute to FAT/SIT activities.

 

Experience with analysis and calculations is an advantage but not  a must.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (relevant experience may substitute for education).
  • Technical knowledge in the design of subsea structures.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in software like Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with design standards such as NORSOK, DNV, Eurocode, and ISO. ASME is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
