Management Accountant

We currently have an exciting opportunity within Norway Finance for a maternity leave cover as Management Accountant located in Forus Office, Stavanger. The temporary position is reporting to the Norway Management Reporting Supervisor.

The role of Management Accountant assists in the daily financial management of assigned Business Units and supports the project cost accounting function in the development of team personnel, systems, processes, and procedures. The role is ideal for a highly motivated and proactive individual who can engage with the team and wider project functions, working collaboratively to deliver high quality Cost Control, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting.

 

The tasks you will solve:
Supporting the Management Reporting Supervisor, wider Finance and Project Control team in all aspects of analysis and management reporting.

•    Assisting in the resolution of queries or issues arising from projects with other business streams (e.g., Internal Service Providers – Offshore Delivery, Pipeline Group)
•    Quality and technical checks on all projects in the project hub
•    Loading project input to Financial Consolidation (BFC) monthly, reconciling vs. Project Reports (PMSRs) and clearing of blocking controls.
•    Assist in preparing quarterly and monthly reporting and any ad-hoc reporting following Norway and/or Executive management review.
•    Investigating significant variances within projects
•    Ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and practice on projects, e.g., embedded derivatives, loss accounting, POC, IFRS, COSA
•    Assist in ensuring consistent process for preparing and submitting Long Term Cash flow.
•    Supporting the development of processes, procedures, and systems

What we want from you:
•    Professional qualifications: Degree qualified ideally in Cost Management and/or Finance.
•    Relevant previous experience at an appropriate level in the subsea or offshore environment
•    Technical knowledge and application of Cost Control and reporting and within associated systems (BFC, SAP, Excel, Power BI, etc)
 

Start date: May 2026 or ASAP

Duration: 12 months assignment with possibility to extend
