Tender Estimator

We are now looking to hire a Tender Estimator to strengthen our Sales and Marketing department in Subsea7 Norway. The Tender Estimator works within the Tendering Department, Sales and Marketing and is responsible for gathering, consolidating and analysing cost input for tenders and studies within Subsea7 guidelines and procedures.

 

The Tasks You Will Solve

• Establish the cost for the tender and study scope of work

• To be diligent when estimating costs to ensure accuracy and to recognise any areas where costs may be saved

• Review and evaluate client provided Exhibit B

• Producing Cost Plans and Cash Flow Forecasts for applicable tenders

• Completion of Customer pro-forma for tender submissions (Contract price exhibit)

• Provide input to Client Relation Management (CRM) system in form of costing and selling price for the ongoing tenders

• Proactively collaborate with relevant parts of the organisation to gather and verify relevant cost items

• Organise and run relevant cost review meetings as required during the tender period

• Provide and present costing of Scope of Work at Tender Boards

• Establish selling price in line with guideline from management and prepare schedule of prices for client

• Provide costing support and monitor cost impacts during did clarifications and negotiations.

What We Want From You

• University level Business Degree, ideally in Cost Management, Project Management, Finance or Engineering

• Experience/background from estimating, cost control and/or projects is an advantage

• Basic contractual understanding, in particular towards Exhibit B and pricing

• Demonstrates financial competence; control cost and think in terms of profit, loss and added value. Identify financial opportunities for the organisation

• Technical interest and knowledge

• Good communication skills; clarify uncertainties and question to ensure the task is understood, express opinions, information and key points of an argument clearly

• Enjoy a dynamic working environment with short deadlines and ability to multi task

• Proactive and solution oriented – able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working

• Demonstrate ownership to work tasks and shows an “eye” for details

• Eager to learn and develop
