Subsea7 are seeking an Associate Tax Advisor to join our team on a staff basis in Singapore.

The Associate Tax Advisor works independently and, at times, under general supervision providing day to day employee tax support to Subsea7’s offshore crew. They will be responsible for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of the work produced.

The candidate is expected to work as part of a team and contribute to creating a positive culture within the tax department and Subsea7, and to ensure familiarity with, and adherence to, the Subsea7 Global Tax Policy. 
 

What will you be doing? 

 

•    Take ownership of payroll tax calculations in a number of locations and entities 
•    Overseeing tax registration and compliance tasks undertaken by the Tax Assistant  
•    Coordinate with the HR team on tax-related communications to the offshore crew
•    Deal with adhoc queries raised by crew relating to employee tax and compliance issues
•    Assist with the on-going compliance of the Global Tax Policy for Offshore crew and the Global Employment Company structure as a whole
•    Assist with tax audit
•    Opportunity for development as a subject matter expert for taxation of employees working offshore in the renewables industry
 

What experience would we like you to have?

•    Relevant experience in personal tax though experience in payroll or corporate tax also considered
•    CTA or equivalent international qualification desirable
•    Understanding of local and international employment tax and social security legislation desirable
•    Fluent in English, excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to interact with different cultures
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite with strong Microsoft Excel skills
•    High professional standard and attention to detail
•    Ability to work independently at times, with minimal supervision
•    Able to prioritise a challenging workload
•    Proactive and flexible in approach
