Subsea 7 Norway AS has a requirement for a Purchaser / Purchasing Specialist to work as part of the Supply Chain team based in Stavanger. The position will provide SCM support to projects, operational bases and administrative activities.
Some of the tasks you will solve:
- Issue RFQ’s based on project requirements
- Negotiate and place commitments with suppliers ensuring that the most favourable terms of contract are obtained
- Expedite purchase orders ensuring that delivery dates are met, and any supply issues are resolved
- Ensuring that goods or services are delivered to the right place at the right time
- Invoice resolution
- Participate in meetings as required by projects/department
- Develop relationships with key suppliers and internal customers
- Sourcing alternative products and reviewing existing ones to ensure prices remain competitive with no compromise of quality
- Liaise with other departments within the organisation
- Obtain knowledge of procurement function’s forms of contract and procedures
- Maintain up to date and use the Project Purchasing Plan to manage the supply chain activity for the various projects

- Working knowledge and experience within SAP ERP – SCM Module are required
