Join Seaway7 in our Rotterdam site as a key member of our Logistics and Materials team, where you'll coordinate global transport activities, manage import/export processes, and optimize logistic management in partnership with our Logistics Service Providers.
What will you be doing?
Description of Role
- Reports to the Logistics Lead in the Logistics & Materials Management (L&MM) function.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring worldwide transport of cargo and equipment.
- Prepares import / export documentation and coordinates with Logistics Services Providers (LSP).
- Works closely with LSP`s to optimize transportation logistics.
- Responsible for country specific logistics such as but not limited to port calls, crew changes, domestic logistics, etc.
- Coordinates with Project Operations, Offshore Resources, and other relevant stakeholders to encourage effective cooperation across teams.
- Advises the L&MM function for their designed country.
Key Responsibilities of Role
- Plan, arrange and coordinate transport and shipping of cargo and equipment as set per responsibilities in the L&MM RACI.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Respond to any L&MM-related concerns or questions from stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
- Prepare and review import / export shipping documentation in accordance with destination-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with local LSP`s to facilitate smooth customs clearance and meet customs requirements.
- Resolve any customs-related issues or delays that may arise during the transport process.
- Identify potential logistics risks or challenges and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures in all logistics activities.
- Collaborate with the L&MM function as other departments within Seaway7 to streamline processes and encourage effective cross-departmental cooperation.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and external LSP`s.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Logistics Lead or L&MM function.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering OR
- At least 5 years of working experience in logistics.
- Knowledge of local and international regulations governing the transport of goods, including customs procedures, import/export regulations, transport documents, dangerous goods, and safety standards.
- Capacity to manage several activities at once, adapt the approach as needed, and shift priorities when business or client needs require it.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exposure to SAP/Ariba benefical
- Willingness to travel and work abroad as required.
