Title: Logistics Specialist

What will you be doing?
This position may be based in our Aberdeen (Westhill) or Zoetermeer office.
Description of Role
- Reports to the Logistics Lead in the Logistics & Materials Management (L&MM) function.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring worldwide transport of cargo and equipment.
- Prepares import / export documentation and coordinates with Logistics Services Providers (LSP).
- Works closely with LSP`s to optimize transportation logistics.
- Acts as the L&MM lead for the assigned projects.
- Works with Project Operations, Offshore Resources, and additional stakeholders across the organization to promote effective collaboration between departments.
- Leads, organizes and advises the L&MM function for their assigned projects
Key Responsibilities of Role
- Plan, arrange and coordinate transport and shipping of cargo and equipment as set per responsibilities in the L&MM RACI.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Respond to L&MM-related concerns or questions from stakeholders in a professional and timely way.
- Prepare and review import / export shipping documentation in accordance with destination-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with Country Logistics to facilitate smooth customs clearance and meet customs requirements.
- Resolve any customs-related issues or delays that may arise during the transport process.
- Identify potential logistics risks or challenges and propose solutions to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures in all logistics activities.
- Coordinate with the L&MM function and other Seaway7 teams to optimize operations and encourage effective interdepartmental teamwork.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal customers, suppliers, and external LSP`s.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Logistics Lead or L&MM function.
What experience would we like you to have?
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering
- Demonstrateble experience of working in a fast paced, project focsued, logistics.environement
- Knowledge of local and international regulations governing the transport of goods, including customs procedures, import/export regulations, transport documents, dangerous goods, and safety standards.
- Ability to handle several activities at once, responsive in approach and possess the ability to change priorities as and when business or client needs dictate.
- Forward-thinking, resourceful, and problem-solving mindset with a practical approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exposure to SAP/Ariba benefical
- Willingness to travel and work abroad as required.
